Nach eigenen Angaben ist NVIDIAs nForce2-Chipsatz auf das volle Leistungsspektrum der heute vorgestellten Barton-CPUs 3000+ und 2800+ vorbereitet. Auch ein Front-Side-Bus von 400 MHz, wie er für kommende CPUs vermutet wird, sei für den Chipsatz kein Problem.
