Die "Photon Features" sind namentlich Photon Link, Photon Guardian und Photon Genius. Hinter Photon Link verbirgt sich eine 3,5'' Front-Einschub-Box sowie die zugehörigen Kabel. Photon Guardian ist ein patentiertes Recovery System für das Bios. Im fall eines fehlgeschlagenen Flash Versuchs kann das Bios einfach wiederhergestellt werden. Zudem ist es möglich, mit Top-hat Flash zwischen verschiedenen Bios Versionen für verschiedene Anwendungen umzuschalten. Besonders interessant dürfte "PCI-Extreme" sein, einers der Photon Genius Elemnte. Dieses Feature bietet auf einem speziell markierten PCI-Slot eine hervorragende Signalqualität. ECS introduces an array of advanced Photon features for Intel 865PE Chipset based PF1 Motherboard

Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS), the world's leading motherboard manufacturer and innovator, today announced the new Intel 865PE Chipset based PF1 motherboard supporting advanced 800 MHz FSB and dual channel DDR 400 architecture. Incorporating four innovative Photon feature suites, the PF1 motherboard delivers blazing speed, exclusive connectivity options and enhanced customized design for the most demanding enthusiasts. ECS PF1 supports Intel’s latest 3.2GHz Pentium 4 CPU, future Prescott processor, FSB 800 MHz, Hyper Threading technology and dual channel DDR 400 memory interface. These features enable PF1 to deliver server-grade power and to slash requirements of memory access time by up to 30 percent compared to a single channel DDR400 platform.

By simply installing the tool on a malfunctioning BIOS flash, systems can be rebooted to re-flash BIOS. Moreover, Top-hat Flash also enables users to switch different BIOS versions for various applications flexibly. PCI Extreme, one of the Photon Genius elements, features a superior OS-con capacitor on board providing ultra outstanding signal quality. This special PCI slot in yellow color is designed for a home theater builder to plug in audio and video cards. Other custom- designed Photon Genius features include EZ Flash for saving or altering BIOS settings, a “streamlined” IDE cable that provides style as well as better air ventilation for cooler operations and EZ Match color coding to expedite connections. Photon Link includes ECS’s exclusive double-faced cable plus all the port options a user needs for today’s – and tomorrow’s - peripherals. The bundled double-faced cable comes with one 1394 and two USB ports that can be swapped with the front side 3.5-inch external bay.
