Hayward, CA (June 12, 2003) - DFI, a worldwide leader in reliable and performance desktop motherboard solutions, today unveils its latest addition to the popular LANParty line of motherboards. - the LANParty NFII Ultra. The new LANParty NFII Ultra for the AMD® platform supports AMD Athlon(tm) XP processor 3200+ with advanced 400MHz frontside bus technology (FSB). The design of the LANParty NFII Ultra takes full advantage of the nForce2 Ultra 400/MCP-T chipset architecture and is optimized for the dual channel DDR400 memory and 8X AGP support for additional performance gain. Integrated features include 6-channel audio with S/PDIF bracket, dual 10/100 Mbps Ethernet for added network reliability, ATA-133 IDE RAID (0,1,0+1 and 1.5) for cost effective data security, serial ATA for more compact system design, and high speed IEEE 1394 Firewire ports. RAID 1.5 is a DFI LANParty signature design to incorporate the performance of RAID 0+1 at the low cost of only 2 hard drives.

DFI's LANParty NFII Ultra is the only motherboard that provides a complete solution for hardcore gamers and case modders. Flexible overclocking menu incorporates tweaking options for CPU, memory, AGP voltages at 1 MHz increments. Unique on-board EZ On/EZ Touch allows users to power the systems without installing the motherboard in the chassis first. Echoing the trend in case modding, the DFI solution sports UV sensitive slots and sockets that glow in the dark, and includes UV sensitive round cables for added functionality. For the LAN party gamers, the solution also includes a sturdy PC Transpo to move the towers around. The total solution is further completed with a FrontX breakout box that extends the PC's rear USB, Firewire, MIC, or speaker ports to the front using custom designed extension cables. The LANParty NFII Ultra is currently available for pre-release order through DFI's authorized dealers. The MSRP on this new LANParty model is USD 169 and the official release date in North America is June 16, 2003.
