VIA hat heute den neuen "Antaur" Notebook-Prozessor vorgestellt. Mit seiner Taktfrequenz verbraucht er als maximal zu erwartende Leistungsaufnahme (Thermal Design Power) 11 Watt.

Beim "Antaur" handelt es sich um eine Modifikation des Nehemia-Kern, den VIA beispielsweie in der eigenen Eden-Serie nutzt. Der Prozessor ist alltäglichen Büro-Aufgaben gewachsen. Da der Chipsatz CLE266 über eine Optimierung für DivX-/DVD-Filme verfügt, dürfte auch der Film-Genuss am Notebook nicht zu kurz kommen. Spieler dürfte unterdess nicht auf Ihre Kosten kommen.
