USB 3.1-Geräte können auch USB 3.0?

Hallo!

Ich konnte mir eine Frage nicht selber beantworten. Ein USB 3.1-A-Stecker sieht für mich so aus, als wenn er auch in eine USB 3.0- / 2.0-Buchse passt aber ist das USB 3.1-Protokoll auch abwärtskompatibel?
