33.622 Punkte im 3DMark05 - neuer Weltrekord

Satte 33.622 Punkte im 3DMark05 gilt es nun zu schlagen.

Das System bestand aus zwei Radeon HD 2900 XT im CrossFire-Verbund. Die Karten wurden - mit Luftkühlung - auf 920/980 MHz übertaktet. Die verwendete CPU, ein Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800, wurde auf 5.280 MHz gebracht (hier reicht eine Luftkühlung allerdings nicht mehr). Das Mainboard war ein Abit AW9D-Max, auf dem 2GB Speicher von Team Group mit 3-3-3-4 Timings werkelten.

"It wasn't long ago when Kinc managed to set a new single-card 3DMark 05 world record, but elmor has now broken the overall world record with a CrossFire system, using only air cooling for the cards! While the CPU was enjoying some cool liquid nitrogen, the Radeon HD 2900 XTs was still sweating with the stock coolers. Kinc has earlier posted a number of results in the forum that showed what kind of potential there is with these cards and elmor has now given us a taste of what is about to come."
