Pressemitteilung TwinMOS PC2700 Passes Intel Full-Loading Test Validation August 23, 2002, Taipei - The computer system has finally received Intel approval. At the same time, TwinMOS PC2700 memory modules have once again taken the lead by passing Intel’s strict full-loading test validation. In June 2001 at Computex Taipei, TwinMOS was the first to promote the TwinMOS PC2700 (DDR 333MHz) memory modules, which quickly became a leading product in the computer assembly market. In November of that year, the Joint Electron Devices Engineering Council (JEDEC) inspired a broad discussion, and after many international, industry-wide debates, the specification standards for the PC2700 (DDR 333) were finally decided in April, 2002. The reason TwinMOS passed qualification to support Intel’s 845GE, 845PE mainboard chip for the DDR 333 MHz is due to the experience of TwinMOS in volume production and R&D capability, and also because: 1. TwinMOS circuit boards match the electronic specifications of JEDEC standards, and utilize professional components. 2. All memory modules developed by TwinMOS pass chipset mainboard certification by Ali, AMD, Intel, SiS, and VIA before general market release. 3. The TwinMOS full-loading test, production processes, and quality control have all passed certification by world-renowned computer system manufacturers and for OEM production of memory modules. It is expected in the third quarter of 2002, that Intel, AMD, nVIDIA and other large companies will provide more support for the DDR 333MHz chipset, which will lead 333MHz memory to converge with mainboards and become a new industry trend. In the fourth quarter the DDR 333MHz will quickly capture 40% of the market.
