Tessellation Demos und Performance

Next Generation Grafikqualität

Auf das Thema Tessellation sind bereits im GTX 480 Review eingegangen. Tessellation ist das "Killer Feature" der neuen Direkt X11 Generation und und findet nun in der Praxis auch mehr und mehr Anwendung. Die Leistung des GF100/GF110/GF114in diesem Bereich ist beachtlich. Demonstrieren lässt sich die Tessellation Leistung gut an zwei sehenswerten Techdemos/Benchmarks.

Um die Tessellation Leistung zu bewerten, eigenen sich am besten die beiden 3D Engines aus der Heaven Demo und der Stone Giant Demo sowie der 3DMark 2011. Alle setzen recht starke Tessellation ein und zeigen somit gut wie hoch die Tessellation Leistung einer Grafikkarte ist. Tessellation ist vom Level her anpassbar und kann auf langsameren Karten auch zurück geschraubt werden. Wir messen hier etwas extreme Settings um die Performanceunterschiede der Grafikkarten deutlicher zu machen.
