Neben den normalen Versionen der Karte gibt es bei Powercolor auch die Extreme Editions mit höheren Taktraten und "Professional Cooling System" von ZEROTherm. Besonders interessant dürfte die HD3870 Extreme sein mit 800 MHz Core Takt und satten 1200 MHz Speichertakt. Über die Preise der übertakteten Karten ist leider nocht nichts bekannt.

HD 3850 and HD 3870 are built on the first GPUs on 55nm processing technology and PowerColor has taken full advantage of this by ramping the core speeds with the help of some unique cooling; the overclocked versions are dubbed Professional Cooling System (PCS) editions.
