Catalyst 10.10 Download steht bereit

Ein paar neue und interessante Features hat die zehnte Ausgabe des Catalyst Treibers zu bieten. So führt AMD die Accelerated Parallel Processing (APP) Technologie ein, dabei handelt es sich um die neue Benennung der ATI Stream Technik. Künftig wird es auch Catalyst Treiberpakete ohne APP Technologie geben.

Außerdem beherrschen Grafikkarten ab der HD 5000 Serie unter Windows 7 nun Videobeschleunigung für WMV HD Filme. Auch die Einstellungen zum dynamischen Videokontrast im Control Center wurden verbessert.

Last but not least steht mit dem Oktober-Release die AMD HD3D Technologie auf dem Programm. Die Wiedergabe von Blu-Ray 3D wird für die GPUs der Radeon HD 6800 Serie ermöglicht. Daneben aktiviert der Treiber Stereo 3D Gaming durch Software von Drittanbietern wie Dynamic Digital Depth (DDD) und iZ3D für Grafikkarten der HD 5000 und HD 6800 Serien.

Aber AMD hat auch eine ganze Reihe von Performanceoptimierungen vorgenommen:

• Performance increases up to 6% on ATI Radeon HD 5800 Series single and CrossFire configurations with anti-aliasing enabled
• Performance increases up to 5% on ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series single and CrossFire configurations with anti-aliasing enabled

Crysis Warhead

• Performance increases up to 9% on Single ATI Radeon HD 5800 Series products with anti-aliasing enabled

Far Cry 2

• Performance increases up to 7% on Single ATI Radeon HD 5800 Series products Metro 2033
• Performance increases up to 7% on ATI Radeon HD 5800 Series single and CrossFire configurations
• Performance increases up to 8% on ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series single and CrossFire configurations
• Performance increases up to 5% on ATI Radeon HD 5600 Series in DirectX 11 and 10 modes
• Performance increases up to 5% on ATI Radeon HD 5500 Series in DirectX 11 and 10 modes
