Limewire ermöglicht den Zugriff auf Gnutella-Netzwerke und verarbeitet auch BitTorrent-Links.
In der neuen Version wurde der Installer für die Limewire-Ask-Toolbar aktualisiert, der erst vor wenigen Tagen hinzugefügt wurde.
Wer mit der Version 5.4.6 unterwegs ist und auf die Toolbar verzichten kann, hat keinen dringenden Grund, die neue Version zu laden. Wer noch mit einer älteren Version unterwegs ist, dem ist ein Update zu empfehlen.
Limewire ist für Windows, Mac, Linux, Solaris und weitere Betriebssysteme verfügbar.
