As the highest level core logic chipset for AMD platforms, SiS748 has been well received right at its launch to the market. Currently, SiS748 has become the first choice of many motherboard makers, including leading makers like AOpen Inc, ASRock Inc, FIC (First International Computer Inc.) and MSI (Micro Star International Inc). The excellent performance of SiS748 has made a great compliment to AMD high level platforms. New motherboards using SiS748 include AK76F-400N from AOpen, K7S8XE from ASRock, KT748 from FIC, and 748Delta from MSI. Each motherboard maker has adapted exclusive technologies respectively to extend the horizon of SiS748 so as to meet different customer requirements. “AK76F-400N is a performance-centered motherboard, which demonstrates the strength of AOpen.” said Bernie Tsai, president of AOpen. “Either the functionality or the design of AK76F-400N has outperformed the previous versions. In addition to enhancing the data transfer rate between the CPU and system devices, the ultra-value K7S8XE motherboard from ASRock is equipped with the patented CPU overheat protection technology, which can activate auto power off hardware mechanism to automatically protect CPUs from damage due to overheat.
