AMD: Treiber für Windows 8 angekündigt

Wie AMD auf der BUILD bekannt gab, arbeitet der Chipentwickler  derzeit eng mit Microsoft zusammen, um seine Hardware fit für Windows 8 zu machen. Insbesondere die APU-Plattform möchte AMD im Tabletmarkt positionieren und preist die x86-Struktur als grundlegendste und robusteste Plattform für Computing an.
Mike Angiulo, "Corporate Vice President of Windows Planning, Hardware and PC-Ecosystem" bei Microsoft fügte hinzu: "Wir sind begeistert von dem enormen Potential das freigesetzt werden kann, wenn Windows 8 auf einem AMD-basierten PC oder Tablet läuft".
