ATI hat sein monatliches Update der Catalyst-Treiber veröffentlicht.

Entsprechend der Jahres- und Monatszahl trägt der neue Catalyst die Versionsnummer 7.9 und soll vor allem Performance-Gewinne mit sich bringen:

Highlights laut ATI (Windows XP Version):

Far Cry performance improves as much as 14 % on the ATI Radeon HD 2900 XT in Crossfire mode, ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT single card, and ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT in Crossfire mode.
Call of Duty 2 performance with Anti-Aliasing enabled improves as much as 12% on the ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT in single card and Crossfire configurations
Half-Life 2: Episode 1 performance improves as much as 9% on the ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT in Crossfire mode and as much as 6% on the ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT in Crossfire mode
Serious Sam 2 performance improves as much as 46% on the ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT in Crossfire mode and up to 27% with Anti-Aliasing enabled on the ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT in single card and Crossfire configurations
Quake 4 performance with Anti-Aliasing enabled improves 9% or more on the ATI Radeon X1600, ATI Radeon X1650 Pro, ATI Radeon X1300, and ATI Radeon X1550 series of products in both single and Crossfire configurations
