Crysis soll auf älterer Hardware laufen, danach nur noch Vista-Only Games?

Gegenüber Next-Gen sagte Cryteks CEO Cevat Yerli:

"We developed almost all effects to be very scalable for different hardware specs. Fortunately this is much easier now that we can rely on the existence of hardware shaders. We believe clearly that Crysis will be enjoyed by a large audience that dates back to gamers with two- to three-year-old gaming rigs."

Bezüglich DirectX 9 und DirectX 10 sagte er:

"You should not miss anything when [only] playing it on DX9, but if you get a chance to play it on DX10 you might [miss the fidelity when going back to DX9]."

Dann folgt noch ein Satz, der zu der Alan Wake News passt, wie die Faust auf's Auge:

"Most likely we will upgrade all dev stations to Vista and move to Vista-only titles, but that’s not 100 percent decided yet."

Es scheint also - auch ohne Microsofts Zutun - in die Richtung zu gehen, dass Spiele bald ausschließlich für Windows Vista erscheinen werden.
