Adobe Flash Player 10.2 Beta mit Stage Video Beschleunigung

Um die CPU beim Videodecoding zu entlasten, nutzt der Adobe Flash Player seit der Version 10.1 die Hardware-Beschleunigung der Grafikkarte.

Mit der Stage-Video-API baut Adobe das nun aus und bietet die Möglichkeit, dass der Flash Player die komplette Videoverarbeitung an den Grafikchip weiterreicht. Die CPU-Last soll sich damit dramatisch senken lassen (Adobe spricht von bis zu 85 Prozent).

Bisher gibt es den Adobe Flash Player 10.2 Beta nur in 32 Bit-Versionen.
