MSI Unlock CPU Core: Aus Phenom II X4 wird Phenom II X6 geht auch mit MSI

Montag, 19. Apr. 2010 13:47 - [jp]

"MSI BIOS engineers succeeded to unlock the AMD CPU cores via BIOS  without any additional chips on the mainboard. This proves the talented skills of the MSI BIOS team and gives our customers the flexibility to upgrade their MSI mainboards based on the AMD800 series and unlock CPU cores. Not only does the MSI 890GXM-G65 support the new upcoming 6 core CPU but MSI is the only one to unlock the 4 core Zosma based CPU up to 6-cores. By unlocking a dual core CPU into a quad core CPU, users can boost the CPU performance over 104%."
