Pressemitteilung IWILL presents 2004’s New Generation Workstation/Server Platforms in Computex June 1st, 2004, Taipei, Taiwan—High-end solution provider, IWILL Corp. presented a series of workstation and server platforms with PCI Express interface and new 64-bit architecture extensions. The new generation platforms provide broader bandwidth for data transfer and faster computing power for mass thread processing. IWILL again has leads the trend and input latest features with great performance to the 2004 workstation and server products. 2004, a technology transition year Many new technologies have risen in year 2004. Technologies that we have talked about in last few years have begun to appear in the market today. Memories transitioned from DDR to DDR2, graphic interface transitioned from AGP to PCI Express x16, expansion slots transitioned from PCI/PCI-X to PCI Express, and the IA-32 32-bit architecture, has transitioned to 64bit extensions with Intel® Extended Memory 64 Technology to support large size of memories. All these new technologies have show in IWILL’s 2004 workstation and server product line. Intel Tumwater based Workstation Platforms IWILL, also known as the professional workstation provider, has been delivering high performance workstation platforms in past years, such as the Intel i840, i860, and the E7505 which are all broadly used by professional users in various markets. This year, IWILL presents you DJ800 and DN800 workstation solutions based on Intel’s state-of-art workstation chipset, Tumwater. DJ800 is the high-end professional workstation solution that supports dual Intel Nocona processors with 800MHz system bus, 16GB of DDR2-400 memory modules, PCIe x16 graphic cards, and both PCIe x4 and PCI-X 133 expansion slots. DN800 is the entry to mid-level workstation/server solution that supports dual Intel Nocona processors with 800MHz system bus, 8GB of DDR333 memory modules, PCIe x16 graphic cards, PCIe x4 slots, and integrated graphic controller that allow users to install the board in 1U rackmount chassis. DN800 is in ATX form factor, it is easy to install and can be used for both workstation and server. As for DJ800, it has all the latest technologies build in for professional workstation users. Intel Lindenhurst based Server Platforms After the success of IWILL DPX2 series server solutions, which are based on Intel E7501 chipset, IWILL has announce the new generation of server solutions, DNS and DNSV. Both new solutions are based on the Intel’s next generation chipset, the Lindenhurst family. DNS is the high-end server platform that supports dual Nocona processors with 800MHz system bus, DDR333 memories up to 16GB, both PCIe and PCI-X expansion slots. Moreover, it has adopted dual Broadcom PCIe interface gigabit Ethernet controllers. DNSV is the entry to mid-level server platform in ATX form factor that supports dual Nocona processors with 800MHz system bus, DDR333 memories up to 8GB, and dual gigabit Ethernet controller. Both server platforms have integrated graphics on board and is able to fit in most 1U, 2U rackmount chassis.
